The Wartburg Skilled Nursing Facility
Solar Electric has joined forces with Lecesse Construction in building a new skilled nursing facility for The Wartburg Community in Mt. Vernon, NY. The project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2013. The building is a state-of-the-art facility including an advanced Nurse Call system, Wanderguard system and Area of Refuge Communication system to name a few. The facility will house 50 residents as well as all providing a full range of physical and occupational therapy rehabilitation.
White Plains Hospital
Solar Electric is working with Gilbane Building Company on Phase I of the White Plains Hospital renovation in White Plains, NY. This work includes the renovation of the radiology department, the construction of a new operating room, and the construction of a new penthouse where Solar will install the emergency distribution switchgear and generators and perform associated feeder work. This project is scheduled to be completed in 2013.
BMW of Manhattan
Solar Electric is currently performing the electrical and data contracts for the renovations project at the BMW of Manhattan facility located at 555 West 57th Street and the new Mini of Manhattan facility at 795 11th Avenue. This project includes lighting, power, fire alarm, security, and data upgrades to the Sales, Showrooms, and Service Areas throughout the facility. The project will be completed in 2013.
Westys Storage Center
Solar Electric performed electrical, fire alarm, security and data work associated with newly constructed 5-story Westys storage facility in White Plains, NY. The project was completed in 2013.
Solar Electric completed the design and installation of the theatrical lighting, support grid and dimming system for WABC's new television studio in August 2011.
Solar performed the electrical and data work associated with Metro-North's new critical operations data center as well as the interior fit-out of their administration spaces in White Plains, NY. This project was completed in 2010.
Queens Public Library
Solar performed the electrical and data work construction associated with the new Children's Library Discovery Center as well as the electrical renovations to the existing library. This project will be competed in 2013.
Yankee Stadium Garages and Parkland
Solar performed the electrical construction for new Parking Garages B and C at Yankee Stadium as well as the electrical work associated with the Roof Top Park (Parkland) above Parking Garage A in the Bronx, NY. These projects were completed in 2010 for the Hunter Roberts / Prismatic Joint Venture. Solar has since been awarded new projects with both Hunter Roberts and Prismatic.
Beacon High School
Solar Electric is working with Skanska USA and the School Construction Authority on the Beacon High School project in New York, NY. This work includes the complete renovation a six story building formerly a New York Public Library Annex to create high-end classrooms including wireless internet access, state-of-the-art technology labs, a dark room, a black box theatre, music suite, library and exercise facility. The project also includes the new construction of a seventh floor to provide a regulation size 7,500 square foot gymnasium and separate 432-seat auditorium. This project is scheduled to be completed in 2015.
Coney Island Steeplechase Plaza
Solar Electric is performing the electrical work for the New York City Economic Development Corporation located at the Steeplechase Plaza in Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY. The work includes the construction of a brand new building to house a historic carousel that was used at the amusement park many years ago. Additionally, the work includes new lighting for the plaza as well as power wiring for a new water feature and logistical power wiring throughout the job site. Lastly, we have completed a portion of remedial work at the famed Parachute Jump (known locally as Brooklyn's Eifel Tower) located within the plaza. The project is scheduled to be completed in early spring 2013.
The Wartburg - Friedrichs Supportive Housing
Solar Electric is working with Lecesse Construction in the construction of a new senior housing building at the Wartburg Adult Care Community in Mt. Vernon, NY. This project is called the Friedrichs Supportive Housing Building and includes the construction of a new 4-story building with 61 residential units. The work includes the complete installation of the electrical services throughout the building. This project was completed in 2012.
Mt. Sinai Medical Center - Mitral Education Center
Solar Electric recently completed the electrical construction for the new lecture hall at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY. This project included lighting, lighting controls, power and fire alarm work, and was completed in 2011.
Mamaroneck Wastewater Treatment Plant
Solar is working with Carlin Contracting Co., Inc. to install a new nitrogen removal and associated chemical treatment systems in the Mamaroneck Wastewater Treatment Plant. The purpose of the project is to treat wastewater and remove nitrogen before the water is discharged into the Long Island Sound. Solar's work includes power and control wiring. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2013.
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
The Building 7 Project for Regeneron Pharmaceuticals was the most recently completed of three new 4-story laboratory and office buildings in Tarrytown, NY. Solar completed the electrical fit-out of Building 7 for Pavarini Construction in 2011, and Buildings 5 & 6 in 2009 for William A. Berry, a division of Suffolk Construction.
Cross County Shopping Center
Solar performed the electrical rehabilitation work of Retail Building 2 and various peripheral areas in the historic Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers, NY. This project was completed for Whiting-Turner in 2010. Solar has since maintained a presence onsite performing retail fit-out work within multiple tenant spaces.
