Peter Borducci
President and ownerPeter Borducci is the President and owner of Solar Electric Systems, Inc. which he founded in 1975. He is also the owner and President of Superior Communications Inc., a telecommunications firm that he established in 1986.
Mr. Borducci holds Master Electrician Licenses in New York City, and Westchester and Putnam Counties, New York, as well as an Electrical Contractor License (E-1) in Connecticut. Among his many professional affiliations, Mr. Borducci is a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association, Inc. (NECA) and the Westchester County Electrical Licensing Board.
Mr. Borducci has been active in the electrical and telecommunications fields since completing his military service in 1973. It was his experience in the U.S. Navy Construction Battalion (CBs) that inspired his pursuit of the electrical and telecommunications trade and launched his entrepreneurial career in the industry.
Before establishing Solar Electric Systems, Inc., Mr. Borducci spent six years as an electrician, where he gained hands-on experience of the trade leading residential and commercial projects.

Executive Vice PresidentPeter Borducci, Jr. is the Executive Vice President at Solar Electric Systems, Inc. where he manages the overall operations and sales in Westchester County, New York City, and Connecticut.
Mr. Borducci holds an Electrical Contractor License (Master Electrician License) in New York City, Westchester County and in Connecticut (E-1). He is an active member of the National Electrical Contractors Association, Inc. (NECA) and a trustee of the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee of Westchester/Fairfield.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.
Mr. Borducci has been actively working in the electrical industry for over 20 years, contributing in all aspects of the business.

James Ludwig
Vice President of Estimating and EngineeringJames Ludwig is the Vice President of Estimating and Engineering at Solar Electric Systems, Inc. Mr. Ludwig has over 45 years of experience in all aspects of electrical construction including but not limited to residential, retail, educational, commercial, water treatment, high voltage distribution.
On a daily basis, at Solar, Mr. Ludwig works with the estimating team on bids for various projects and reviews to make sure that all the contractual terms and conditions are met. Working with the engineering team, Mr. Ludwig reviews all projects being built and assists to ensure design and code compliance.
Mr. Ludwig earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College.

Mark Monheit
Vice President of OperationsMark has over 35 years’ experience in electrical construction. Mark’s longevity in the industry has enabled his diverse experience as he rose through the ranks from Apprentice, Journeyman, Foreman and now VP. Mark has been part of commercial, residential, healthcare, schools, casinos, and airports to name a few.
Mark is a graduate of Empire State College and has a Master Electrician License.

Laurie Thomasset
Office ManagerLaurie Thomasset is the Office Manager at Solar Electric Systems, Inc. and has managed the company’s administrative functions since 1986.
In addition to managing administrative personnel and establishing office policies and procedures, Ms. Thomasset executes bid and project contracts, supervises legal matters, and is responsible for Solar’s bonding and insurance requirements.
Ms. Thomasset also oversees human resources and facilities matters.
Ms. Thomasset has more than 35 years of office management experience. Prior to joining Solar Electric, she graduated from Katherine Gibbs School, was Executive Secretary at McKinsey & Company, Inc. and studied business at New York University.

Gina Farrenkopf
Chief Financial OfficerGina Farrenkopf, CPA is Solar Electric Systems, Inc.’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this role, she was the company’s Controller. She also has five years of public accounting experience at a national firm within the Audit and Assurance Services practice.
During her time in public accounting she serviced clients within the firm’s commercial practice with a focus in the construction field, but also worked with in other industries. She was formally a member of the Westchester County Association’s Young Professionals Board.
Ms. Farrenkopf earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Fordham University.

Donna Yetman
Accounting ManagerDonna Yetman joined Solar Electric Systems, Inc. in 1988. She currently serves as Accounting Manager for the company’s operations, overseeing accounts, payable and receivables. In this capacity, she is responsible for supervising billing, collections, payables and vendor relations.
Ms. Yetman has practiced accounting for over 35 years, with experience ranging from collection bureaus to in-house accounting departments.
